The Black Hawk County Solid Waste Commission works hard to provide cost effective services to the residents of Black Hawk County.
Our fees are very competitive and many times lower than other landfills in this region.

Revised Customer Pricing Schedule - Effective July 1, 2016
The Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission, at its regular scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 25th, 2016, approved a rate increase of $2 per ton for all weight based fees, effective July 1, 2017.

- Cash or Check Only. A $20 service fee will be assessed for returned checks.
- Tipping Fee: $36.25/ton (effective July 1, 2016) with a $9 minimum fee. This fee is pro-rated and is dependent upon the weight of the material deposited.
- Mixed Loads containing yard waste. Under 2 tons will be charged $61.25/ton (effective July 1, 2016) and over 2 tons will be charged $78.00/ton (effective July 1, 2016).
- Tires and appliances (including light fixtures) must be separated from other wastes and deposited at the Small Loads Facility. Users will be charged the tipping fee, plus an additional $4.00 for tires ($10.00 for large truck tires) and $8.00 for appliances. Tires and appliances that are improperly deposited at the working face of the cell will receive an additional charge (see Pricing Schedules).
